Hi Lisa,

Thank you for stopping by and for the additional resources you provided. You noted the biggest point I feel horse owners need to understand and that is "developing an effective worm control program is no longer the ‘cookie cutter’ approach". That is one thing that has caused the resistance problems in the first place.

I believe that the more we educate horse owners about different approaches to worm control the more common it will become to customize programs based on the individual needs of the horse.

Thanks again Lisa!

Hi Stephanie and Sharon,
Many thanks for Stephanie's article on equine parasite resistance and review of Horsemen's Laboratory! Glad to hear she's already an H-Lab customer.

I write and produce H-Lab's monthly e-newsletter, Worm Control News, and your article was a true service to caring horse owners everywhere who want to do better for their equine partners and companions. As you outlined, developing an effective worm control program is no longer the 'cookie cutter' approach it once was, but instead needs to be a customized approach centered around actual knowledge gained from conducting fecal egg count tests.

I'll be including in the April 2010 issue of Worm Control News a mention of Soulful Equine's article, so our readers can check you out.

Your readers might also be interested in the following articles I wrote for Holistic Horse magazine, for their August 2009 e-newsletter.

- Too Much Wormer Causing Horse Parasites Resistance, Holistic Horse magazine, Aug 2009 e-newsletter

- Protect Your Horse From Worms, Holistic Horse magazine, Aug 2009 e-newsletter

And your readers and members who are interested in additional information about parasites are welcome to sign up at the H-Lab Web site for Worm Control News, which is free and comes out monthly: www.horsemenslab.com

Thanks again for the mention, and keep up the good work!
